The global nature of branding is matched by the global scope of the Center. Since its founding, it has grown from Columbia Business School to include Shanghai Jiotong University (China), the University of Munich (Germany), ESADE (Spain), Yonsei University (Korea), and Singapore Management University.
Working closely with sponsor companies, the six affiliate centers pursue innovative research, host international conferences, develop new curricula, and publish books and articles on the most pressing issues in brand management today.
SHANGHAI: JIAOTONG UNIVERSITY
The Brand Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University is the first of its kind in China ever established by an academic institution. The Center has 38 full-time and part-time research fellows, including 12 full professors, 16 associate professors, and 10 research fellows among whom 22 are M.A. and Ph.D. holders. The Brand Research Center is affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of the top universities in China with more than one hundred years of history. The Center is under the Antai College of Economics and Management, one of the most important schools at the university and in China. The Center has formed a strategic alliance with China Public Relation Association, Shanghai Brand Promotion Center, as well as with a number of leading companies and the media. It has abundant social resources and wide social influences.

MUNICH: UNIVERSITY OF MUNICH
The Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München was founded in 1472. With 44,000 students, it is the largest university in Germany. The institutes at the Munich School of Management contain over 20 fields of specialization with approximately 140 lecturers and teaching assistants. Many famous scientists such as Lujo Brentano, Max Weber, and Edmund Heinen have worked as faculty at the university. Top professors from all over the world come to Munich to teach and research at the Bavarian Capital. The Institute of Marketing, which administers the Center on Global Brand Leadership, is directed by Professor Anton Meyer and is internationally renown for research on customer orientation and service excellence. SEOUL: YONSEI UNIVERSITY
Yonsei is the oldest modern-style university in Korea, founded in 1885 by North American missionaries. It is located in Seoul, the capital of Korea and currently has about 35,000 students. Yonsei is a comprehensive university, but traditionally it has been strong in business and medical studies. Yonsei's Graduate School of Business was recently voted the top school in Korea by the Joongang Daily News. Yonsei's Brand and Business Marketing (B&B) Center is one of many centers that belong to the Yonsei Management Research Center. The mission of the B&B Marketing Center is to be the center for studying brand-related issues in Korea. Its annual conferences will bring academics and practitioners together to discuss various brand-related topics as they impact domestic and multinational companies operating in Korea.
